The OpenThe Open

War is global.
Yet Stéphanie (n°4, WTA) and André, her mute coach, are preparing their Open –and are deprived of any tennis balls.
They believe in it. So much that they could even convince Ralph, a guerilla from the plain,
to lay down his weapons and take up his racket…
Three misfits, playing air tennis in the middle of nowhere, strive to dream –even though life is turning into a farce, and the world is coming to an end.

Director: Marc Lahore, France/UK/Belgium

“Both a fantasy and a fable, calling to mind Bergman’s Shame,The Open looks unlike anything you’ve ever seen.”
